January sees the commencement of “The Kitchen Project”, an eight week programme for the creation of a completely new state of the art kitchen for Executive Chef Simon Radley and his team, incorporating the very latest in cooking technology and energy efficiency. In conjunction with this we will also be undertaking an exciting refurbishment and reconfiguration of La Brasserie to include the introduction to Chester of the renowned London based chocolatier, Rococo, within a newly created concession at the front of the restaurant with street access.
In order to complete the challenging first stages of the above without disruption to our guests, The Chester Grosvenor will close its doors on the afternoon of Monday 2nd January 2012, reopening on the morning of Saturday 14th January. Our two restaurants, La Brasserie and Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, will then remain closed for the remainder of the project with La Brasserie reopening on Saturday 3rd March and Simon Radley reopening for dinner on Tuesday 6th March.
We are however delighted to confirm that from 14th January it will be business as usual within both The Grosvenor Spa and The Arkle Bar and Lounge, serving morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon tea and evening drinks to our guests. In room dining will also continue to be available, as will The Gallery on the first floor landing.
