Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo is the UK’s number one zoo, with over 7000 animals and 400 different species, including some of the most endangered species on the planet. With more than one million visitors every year, the Zoo is an all-year round favourite attraction for kids of all ages!

There are so many things to see and do at Chester Zoo, such as the Elephants of the Asian Forest – a new home for the Zoo’s elephants, including elephant calf, Raman, born in November 2006. Also, meet young giraffe ‘Molly’, together with the Zoo’s many other recent arrivals, including five male baby Komodo Dragons, born to virgin mother Flora!

New for 2007 - Realm of the Red Ape - Visit this spectacular new attraction for the Zoo’s Bornean and Sumatran orang-utans, including two youngsters, Budi and Utara, in their new tropical environment

The 110-acre Zoo opens at 10am every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
