The Chester Folk Festival is run by the Chester Folk Survivors, a group of folk enthusiasts, whose aim is to promote folk music events in the Chester area. The Festival takes place annually over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend in the village of Kelsall, about 8 miles from Chester (UK). They also organise several smaller events in Chester during the year.

The Chester Folk Festival is a long weekend of concerts, dances, displays, sessions, workshops featuring the best local, national and, occasionally, international folk performers. The emphasis is on participation and there is something for all the family.
