The Church of St Mary-on-the-Hill stands at the top of St Mary's Hill, Chester. It is a Grade I listed building. The church stands at the top of a narrow winding lane which leads down to the River Dee and it is adjacent to Chester Castle.

St John the Baptist Church, Chester is in the city of Chester. It lies outside the city walls on a cliff above the north bank of the River Dee. It is a Grade I listed building and continues to be in active use. Clifton-Taylor includes it in his list of 'best' English parish churches and it is considered to be the best example of 11th–12th century church architecture in Cheshire.

This award winning museum was founded in 1885 and its origins are linked to the start of the Chester Society of Natural Science Literature & Art, founded by Charles Kingsley. The Museum is famous for an internationally important collection of Roman Stones but also has collections of Art, Silver, Social History & Natural History. The Auditorium itself has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
