Its all going on ‘behind the seams’.....

The Chester Mystery Plays production team are appealing for anyone with sewing skills to come and help out.

Paula Budd who is co-ordinating the costumes said  “We do need a lot of people to help.  We’re looking for anyone who can sew (with or without a machine!).  We need a couple of people who can work to a good tailoring standard, but we also need people who can do basic dressmaking or even decorative trimming – on hats for example.  We could also use people who can knit”.  And if you happen to have a Roman Soldier’s costume hanging in the wardrobe, Paula would like to hear from you!

This year’s production is being put together with over two hundred volunteers in the cast and on the various committees and promises to be a spectacular and exciting theatrical event that every one associated with it is proud to be part of  - its a great opportunity to get involved in a nationally and internationally significant performance which could not go ahead without such a committed team.

Paula is also in need of anyone who can help to get hold of props, which can be made or found in charity shops, car boot sales or in the attic!
