Chester Races - Roman Day

The Roman Day is one of the most popular fixtures in the racing calender here in Chester. Six thrilling races are run against a backdrop of Roman's on the Roodee and it all adds up to make a day out that everyone loves.

The thudding of the horses on the turf is echoed by the thud of the chariot racing and the marching of the gladiators and centurions, a fitting tribute to Chester's Roman heritage.
